Hello Thursday! Hello weekend eve! We are hard at work with wedding planning for the 2016 season.
So how do we manage it all? Four things: planner, time management, sleep and personal time.
Planner: I would lose my head if it weren’t for my planner. From client meetings to vendor meetings, I need something to keep me organized otherwise I wouldn’t be sane. I would constantly have that nervous pit in my stomach because I would feel like I was missing something! My planner allows me to sit back and relax and enjoy life {and a cocktail}.
Time Management: OMG, I think this aspect is something that a lot of people struggle with..including myself. We only have 24 hours in a day with so much to do! But Hey! If Beyoncé can do it all in 24 hours, so can we! To help me with time management I have learned to track how long things take me. That way when I am making my to-do list for the day or week, I know how long each thing should take and what my day/week will realistically look like. I am not creating lofty goals or even deadlines for myself and never accomplishing half of them! Also, I LOVE lists; you will never find my without a list!
Sleep: This is a hard one for me! Most days I wish I could survive on 6 hours of sleep, but actually my body needs like ummmm 9. I try to wake up at the crack of dawn but my brain says otherwise! So don’t kid yourself, you need sleep to be energized and productive! Don’t just count on that 2nd espresso to give you the boost you need.
Personal time: In order to do your job well you need to take care of yourself. So take some much needed R & R..go get a massage or a mani-pedi or kick back with a Netflix marathon and a glass of wine! Whatever it is, make sure you are relaxing and not checking your e-mail!
